STEAM TOFU CHINESE STYLE – CHEF DAVE

Sauce Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Vegetarian oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- Brown sugar as needed
- A little white pepper
Other Ingredients :
- 4 small onion (roundly sliced)
- 1 tbsp chopped spring onion and coriander leave (or Spring only)
- 2 bird’s eye chilies (optional) (cut into small pieces)
- 1 red chili(sliced)
Cooking method:
- Slice small onion roundly and fry on medium heat until golden. Strain and set aside.
- Prepare a small bowl, add all the sauce ingredients. Stir well and set aside.
- Place the tofu on a large plate and pour the sauce that has been mixed earlier.
- Then, steam for 2-3 minutes or more. Remove from the steamer.
- Place some fried onions on top of the tofu, coriander leaves, spring onions and red chilies.
- Ready to serve and eat with rice

Bahan – bahan sos:
- 2 sudu besar kicap masin soya
- 1 sudu besar sos tiram
- 1 sudu besar minyak bijan
- Gula merah secukupnya
- Sedikit lada sulah
Bahan – bahan lain:
- 4 ulas bawang kecil(dihiris bulat)
- 1 sudu besar daun bawang dan ketumbar dicincang (atau daun bawang sahaja)
- 2 cili api (pilihan)(dipotong kecil)
- 1 cili merah (hiris)
Cara memasak:
- Hiris bawang merah kecil bulat – bulat dan goreng dengan api sedehana. sehingga warna keemasan. Tapis dan ketepikan.
- Sediakan mangkuk kecil, masukkan kesemua bahan sos. Kacau rata dan ketepikan.
- Letakkan tauhu di atas pinggan besar dan tuang sos yang telah dibancuh tadi.
- Kemudian, kukus selama 2-3 minit atau lebih. Keluarkan dari pengukus.
- Letak sedikit bawang goreng diatas tofu, daun ketumbar, daun bawang dan cili merah.
- Sedia untuk dihidang dan makan bersama nasi.
