SWEET SOUR IDLI FRY – CHEF DAVE
Preparation time: 15 Minutes
Cooking time: 20 Minutes
Serving: 3 – 4 Servings
Ingredients:
- A little oil
- ½ tsp mustard seeds
- 2 stalks curry leaves
- 3-4 dried chilies (cut into small pieces)
- 2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
- 2 inches ginger (finely chopped)
- 1 green chili (thinly sliced)
- A little asafoetida powder
- 1 tomato (diced)
- 1 tbsp seafood masala powder
- A little water
- Salt as needed
- A little chili sauce
- A little tomato sauce
- A little carrot
- A few slices cabbage
- 7-8 pieces idli (cut)
Cooking method:
- Saute mustard seeds, curry leaves, dried chilies, garlic and ginger that has been chopped, green chilies and asafoetida powder. Saute until fragrant.
- Add tomatoes and seafood masala powder. Stir well. Then add water and let it cook until the oil breaks
- Add enough salt, chilli sauce, tomato sauce. Stir well until the oil break again.
- Then add carrots and cabbage. Stir well.
- Add idli and mix well. Adjust taste and ready to serve.

Hidangan: 3 – 4 Orang
Bahan – bahan:
- Sedikit minyak
- ½ sudu kecil biji sawi
- 2 tangkai daun kari
- 3-4 cili kering(potong kecil)
- 2 ulas bawang putih(cincang halus)
- 2 inchi halia(cincang halus)
- 1 cili hijau(hiris nipis)
- Sedikit serbuk inggu
- 1 biji tomato(potong dadu)
- 1 sudu besar serbuk seafood masala
- Sedikit air
- Garam secukupnya
- Sedikit cili sos
- Sedikit tomato sos
- Sedikit lobak merah
- Sedikit hirisan kobis
- 7-8 keping idli (potong)
Cara memasak:
- Tumis biji sawi, daun kari, cili kering, bawang putih dan halia yang dah dicincang halus cili hijau dan serbuk inggu. Tumis sehingga naik bau.
- Masukkan tomato dan serbuk seafood masala. Kacau sebati. kemudian masukkan air dan biarkan ia masak sehingga pecah minyak
- Masukkan garam, cili sos, tomato sos secukupnyak. Kacau sebati sehingga oecah minyak sekali lagi.
- Lepastu masukkan lobak merah dan kobis. Kacau sebati.
- Masukkan idli dan gaul rata. Adjust rasa dan sedia untuk dihidang.
