BATANG BURUK – CHEF DAVE
Preparation time: 40 Minutes
Cooking time: 15 Minutes
Serving: 80 – 100 pcs
Ingredients:
- 1 cup brown sugar (ground)
- Salt as needed (ground)
- 2 cups roasted green peas flour (gemini brands)
- 1 pack popiah Skin
- Tapioca flour + water
- Cooking oil for frying
Cooking method:
- Finely grind brown sugar with a little salt.
- prepare a pan, add ground ingredients, and roasted green peas flour. Roasted for 30 minutes- 1 hour on low heat. Remove and set aside.
- Tear off the popiah skin and roll it up. Then apply tapioca mix with water on the end of the popiah skin and stick it nicely.
- Then just cut it into small pieces according to your size and then fry in hot oil until the colour of the popiah skin turns brown, remove and let it cool for a while.
- Finally, coat it evenly with the roasted green peas flour that has been prepared earlier.
- When it has cooled, put it in an airtight container so that the batang buruk cookies is always crunchy

Bahan – bahan:
- 1 cawan gula perang(dikisar)
- Garam secukupnya(dikisar)
- 2 cawan Tepung kacang hijau(gemini brands)
- 1 paket Kulit Popiah
- Tepung ubi kayu + air
- Minyak masak untuk menggoreng
Cara memasak:
- kisar halus gula perang dengan sedikit garam.
- sediakan kuali, masukkan bahan kisar dan serbuk kacang hijau. sangai dalam 30 minit- 1 jam dengan api perlahan. Angkat dan ketepikan.
- Koyakkan kulit popiah dengan cantik dan gulung. Kemudian sapu air bancuhan tepung ubi di dihujung kulit popiah dan lekatkannya.
- lepastu potong sahaja kecil-kecil mengikut saiz anda dan lepastu goreng dengan minyak yang panas sehingga warna kulit popiah tukar keperangan, angkat dan biarkan ia sejuk seketika.
- Akhir sekali, salut rata dengan tepung kacang hijau yang telah siap sangai tadi.
- Bila dah sejuk, masukkan ke dalam bekas kedap udara supaya kuih batang buruk sentiasa rangup.
